At Camping La Croix du Bois Sacker, the fishing pond is far more than a backdrop: it is the beating heart of our nature campsite in Burtoncourt, right in the heart of Moselle. Set within 8 hectares of woodland, just a few steps from your pitch, chalet or mobile home, it invites you to cast a line the moment you wake — coffee in hand, line in the water, mist drifting over the surface.
Fishing right outside your accommodation
Here, there is no need to take the car to wet a line. The pond runs alongside the grounds: step out of your tent or chalet and, within moments, you are at the water's edge. It is perfect for anglers who like to fish both the morning and evening sessions, and just as ideal for introducing children to the sport in a calm, safe setting.
Carp, roach and white fish
Our naturally fed pond holds a fine head of carp and white fish — roach, bream and tench. Carp anglers will enjoy the shaded swims and the sheer peace of the place, while float and coarse fishers can happily lose track of the hours. With every season and every change in the weather, each day brings its own surprises.
Fishing rules
The pond is open to campers throughout their stay. The practical details — opening times, swims, catch-and-release policy, permitted baits — are explained on arrival at reception. Remember to bring your own tackle; we will gladly point you to the best swims of the moment.
Much more than a pond
Between bites, the campsite offers a thousand other pleasures: swimming in the natural lake, a children's playground, sports areas, walking trails and cycle paths leading straight from the site, fresh bread each morning… everything you need for a nature holiday where fishing takes centre stage without the rest of the family ever growing bored.
